Job Description

On behalf of our Client, a software company specialized in development of applications in different programming languages, Mobile Development, Data Development & Analysis , Service Management, we are looking for a  Commercial Manager.

 

Based: Farnborough

Hybrid working with min 1 day per week on-site

As the Commercial Manager you will be the business enabler and will actively support the winning and delivery of profitable business.  In the role you will provide commercial support and governance which is highly valued by the business, to ensuring the company contracts with customers and suppliers on terms that protect the business.


  • Provide commercial/ contractual support for timely development, approval and issuance of bids and proposals

  • Identification of commercial risk and the development and implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies and actions

  • Reviewing, re-drafting and leading the negotiation of customer or key supplier contracts

  • Ensure that the Company’s contractual obligations are communicated and to the project teams and support functions

  • Support the project teams to identify and manage Change Control process

  • Avoidance and where necessary resolution of commercial issues

  • Provide the day-to-day point of interface on commercial and contractual matters

  • Support other members of the commercial team as required


  • Previous experience in reviewing and draft Contractual documents/ agreements

  • Previous experience gained in the defence sector

  • Ability to gain and maintain SC level security clearance

  • Builds a customer relationship & good in a customer interface role with Project/ Bid Manager

  • Strong Commercial awareness and business acumen, understanding of the law

  • Demonstrate the ability to identify contract terms that if accepted would represent a significant risk to the Company

Desirable

  • Accreditation in Commercial & Contract/ Supply Management (e.g. IAACM or CIPS)

  • Recognition of export control regulations

  • Diploma or Degree Qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. business, law, or economics

  • Demonstrate a willingness to focus and priorities with the needs of the business


Salary/Rate:

£50,000 - £65,000/annum
